Job summary

Frequency is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager in Wellington to lead large infrastructure projects, manage clients and teams, and ensure high-quality delivery. You will oversee project scope, schedule, and budget while fostering client satisfaction and development of the project team.

You will mentor staff, engage with clients, and contribute to business development, aligning with Frequency's office-first culture and strong local network.

Qualifications

• 8 to 10 years of industry experience managing infrastructure projects.
• Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field.
• Experience in design management, team management, or team director roles focused on infrastructure projects.
• Desirable: consultancy and client-side project management experience.
• Desirable: vertical build and seismic project experience.
• Experience in line management of internal delivery teams.
• Excellent communication with strong emotional intelligence (EQ).
• Strong Wellington regional presence and professional network.
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects and maintain deadlines with strong commercial acumen.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage project teams to deliver on time, scope, and budget.
• Provide mentorship to team members and promote development.
• Engage with clients to understand needs and maintain relationships.
• Present technical papers at industry events showcasing Frequency's expertise.
• Ensure Health & Safety compliance and policy adherence.
• Develop and implement project management plans aligned with client requirements.
• Identify and mitigate project risks for successful outcomes.
• Support business development through client meetings, proposals, and tenders.
