Job summary

CORDE Ltd in Canterbury seeks a Senior HSE Advisor to lead health, safety and environment initiatives. You’ll work with project teams from Rangiora to Rolleston, providing practical guidance, coaching and leadership to identify and control risks on sites.

The role focuses on incident investigations, risk management, subcontractor performance, and ongoing development of CORDE’s HSE systems. The successful candidate will be field-oriented, communicative, and able to influence positive change

Qualifications

• 8+ years in operational HSE roles within construction or similar.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 beneficial.
• Experience with risk management and incident investigations (ICAM beneficial).
• NZ Driver Licence (Class 1) required/advantageous

Responsibilities

• Provide practical HSE advice across multiple sites and teams.
• Support incident investigations and risk management processes.
• Monitor subcontractor performance and environmental compliance.
• Develop and continuously improve CORDE’s HSE systems and processes.
