Job summary

CORDE Ltd is seeking a Senior HSE Advisor to work across our civil construction and infrastructure projects, from Rangiora to Rolleston. You’ll be autonomous both on-site and in the office, coaching teams to identify and manage risks while driving HSE improvements.

You’ll support incident investigations, risk management, subcontractor performance and environmental compliance, shaping CORDE’s HSE systems for safer, more efficient work across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 8+ years’ experience in an operational HSE role within construction or similar.
• Knowledge of ISO 45001 / ISO 14001 is beneficial.
• Practical experience across risk management and incident investigations (ICAM knowledge beneficial).
• Excellent communication and relationship skills.
• Ability to manage competing priorities across multiple sites.
• Procore experience is beneficial.
• A full Class 1 NZ Driver Licence is required.
• NZ residency or valid NZ work visa may be required.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with project teams, supervisors, forepersons, and frontline leaders across sites.
• Provide practical advice, coaching and support to identify and manage risk and meet HSE responsibilities.
• Support incident investigations, environmental compliance and risk management across sites.
• Contribute to subcontractor performance and development of CORDE’s HSE systems and processes.
• In-field collaboration to influence positive change and improvements.
