Job summary

Canstaff is recruiting a Senior Heating Engineer in Queenstown to design, install, commission and fault-find heating and ventilation systems for premium residential and commercial projects across the Southern Lakes region.

You will read drawings, specify systems, lead on-site teams and ensure NZ building codes, safety and energy standards are met. A minimum of 3+ years NZ heating/HVAC experience and EST (EWRB) licence are preferred; strong communication and leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years NZ experience in heating/HVAC.
• EST licence (EWRB) preferred or required.
• Experience with design, installation, and fault-finding on heating systems.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, commission, service and fault-find heating and ventilation systems.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and plans.
• Advise on energy-efficient solutions and compliance with NZ codes.
• Maintain documentation and reporting on-site.
