Job summary

Welco Heating Limited, based in Queenstown, is seeking an experienced Plumber to install, maintain and repair plumbing and hydronic heating systems for premium residential and commercial projects. This full-time role offers a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours per week and potential for additional paid hours based on workload.

You will join a small, close-knit team delivering high-end HVAC and plumbing installations throughout Queenstown and the surrounding areas.

Qualifications

• New Zealand Plumber registration (or eligibility to obtain registration)
• A minimum of three years' relevant plumbing experience (or an equivalent trade qualification)
• Experience with residential and commercial plumbing installations and maintenance
• Experience with hydronic heating systems, underfloor heating, hot water cylinders and heat pump water heaters will be highly regarded
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• A Full New Zealand Driver Licence (or the ability to obtain one)

Responsibilities

• Installing hot and cold water supply systems, sanitary plumbing systems and associated fixtures
• Installing pipework using a variety of approved plumbing materials and fittings
• Installing valves, pumps, pressure control equipment and associated plumbing components
• Installing hydronic heating systems, including underfloor heating pipework, manifolds and associated heating components
• Installing, commissioning and replacing hot water cylinders and heat pump water heaters
• Assisting with the installation and commissioning of residential and commercial heating systems
• Reading and interpreting plans, specifications and technical drawings
• Measuring, cutting, assembling and securing pipework using appropriate tools and equipment
• Pressure testing and commissioning plumbing and heating systems
• Diagnosing plumbing faults and carrying out planned and reactive maintenance and repairs
• Working alongside HVAC technicians to deliver high-quality residential and commercial installations
• Maintaining clean, organised and safe work sites, vehicles and equipment

We specialise in underfloor heating, hydronic systems and air conditioning, working on some of the region's most impressive architectural homes, luxury new builds and select commercial projects.

We're looking for an experienced Plumber to join our growing team. If you enjoy a mix of new installations, maintenance and repair work and take pride in quality workmanship, this is an opportunity to work on premium residential and commercial HVAC and plumbing projects.

About the Role

Working alongside our HVAC installation team, you'll install, maintain and repair plumbing and hydronic heating systems for residential and commercial projects, ensuring every job is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

This is a permanent, full-time position with a guaranteed minimum of 40 hours of work per week. Additional paid hours may be available depending on workload and operational requirements.
