Job summary

EY in Wellington is seeking a Senior Manager to lead health-sector transformation programmes, working with senior health leaders, clinicians and government stakeholders to shape strategy and deliver practical improvements that improve health service performance, workforce sustainability and patient outcomes.

You will build trusted relationships, lead multidisciplinary teams and manage engagements from strategy through implementation, ensuring quality, timelines and commercial success.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in NZ health sector across strategy, service and operating model design, operational performance improvement and large-scale transformation.
• Demonstrated experience leading complex health transformation programmes and engagements with diverse stakeholders.
• Strong commercial and strategic capability to identify client needs, shape opportunities and contribute to growth.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships and influence senior executives and health leaders.
• Understanding of digital and data-enabled healthcare and AI applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex health-sector engagements from strategy to mobilisation and implementation, ensuring high-quality delivery and outcomes.
• Provide strategic advice to senior health leaders, integrating clinical, operational, financial and organizational perspectives.
• Manage multiple workstreams, scope, risks, timelines and resources while maintaining delivery quality.
• Build and maintain trusted relationships with senior executives, clinicians, government stakeholders and delivery partners.
• Translate evidence into clear strategic recommendations and practical transformation plans.
