Job summary

Auckland City J B Group of Companies Limited in Auckland is seeking an experienced Advanced Agricultural and Horticultural Mobile Plant Operator to join our glasshouse operations team. The role requires safe, skilled operation of glasshouse and horticultural mobile plant equipment to support crop production with a high level of autonomy.

You will operate equipment such as trolleys, forklifts, tractors, and related machinery, perform routine pre-start checks, and maintain production records.

Qualifications

• Experience operating glasshouse/mobile plant equipment with a high degree of autonomy.
• Valid full driver’s licence (Class 1 minimum) and safe operation practices.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying conditions and maintain records.

Responsibilities

• Operate glasshouse mobile plant and machinery to move, transport, and position crops and supplies.
• Calibrate and adjust equipment settings for crop needs.
• Carry out pre-start checks, servicing, and minor repairs.
• Monitor machinery performance and report faults promptly.
• Maintain production records of machinery use and activities.
• Work independently ensuring production demands are met while following health and safety procedures.
