Job summary

Qualifications

• Operate, monitor, and maintain agricultural and horticultural machinery.
• Perform daily safety checks and calibrations as required.
• Record machine usage and maintenance logs.
• Experience with tractors and irrigation systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and maintain various agricultural and horticultural machinery, including tractors and irrigation systems.
• Prepare machinery for daily operations with safety checks and calibration.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs to minimize downtime.
• Operate machinery for land preparation, cultivation, fertilizing, irrigation, and harvesting.
• Monitor performance and identify issues, taking corrective action as needed.
• Follow health and safety procedures while operating machinery.
• Assist with loading/unloading of horticultural produce and materials using appropriate equipment.
• Record usage, maintenance logs, and operational issues for management.
• Assist in setting up irrigation systems and operating pumps as required.
• Ensure cleanliness of machinery to maintain hygiene standards.
• Maintain awareness of weather and adjust operations to protect crops.
