Job summary

Phocas Christchurch is seeking a senior full-stack engineer to drive the Rebates product. You will build and evolve features across the full stack, work directly with customers, and shape the architectural direction of the Rebates product.

We value React on the front end, Java or C# on the back end, and strong cloud experience (AWS). A customer-first mindset and experience in small teams are essential, with a finance-interest considered a big plus.

Qualifications

• Senior-level full-stack experience with React on frontend and Java or C# on backend.
• Comfort with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Cloud experience, ideally AWS.
• Experience using AI to accelerate a team and adoption of tools.
• Customer-first mindset with direct customer communication.
• Experience in a small team with no room to hide.
• Finance background or genuine interest in financial software.
• Results-oriented: ship quickly and measure impact.

Responsibilities

• Build and evolve features across the full stack: front end, back end, and data layer.
• Work directly with customers and bring their problems back into the product.
• Help shape the architecture and engineering direction of the Rebates product.
• Lead by example, setting a high bar for the team through the quality of your work and your approach to problems.
• Ship things. Quickly. And then make them better.
