Job summary

MOVe Logistics Group is seeking an experienced Dispatcher to join the Freight team in New Zealand. The role requires coordinating trucks, drivers, and freight movements, planning loads, and maintaining customer expectations in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates will understand freight movements, load planning, and daily transport operations, with strong communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills. A forklift licence is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in transport, freight, logistics, fleet coordination, or a similar dispatch environment.
• Strong understanding of freight movements, load planning, driver allocation, route planning, and day-to-day transport operations.
• Confident communication with drivers, customers, operations teams, and external stakeholders.
• Ability to stay calm, decide quickly, and think on your feet when plans change.
• Strong organisational and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Solid knowledge of New Zealand geography and impact of distance, timing, and driver hours on planning.
• Practical, solutions-focused approach and ability to prioritise competing demands.
• Team-player attitude and relationship-building across drivers and internal teams.
• Forklift licence with OSH and F endorsement would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule MOVe trucks to move freight safely, efficiently, and on time.
• Plan loads, allocate drivers and equipment, monitor freight movements, and manage changes during the day.
• Solve issues as they arise in a fast-moving operational environment.
• Maintain strong customer expectations across a busy operation.
