Job summary

Advanced Personnel Limited – Wanganui, North Island is seeking experienced Fabricators/Welders for engineering and manufacturing opportunities across the Manawatu region. You’ll perform steel fabrication and welding, read engineering drawings and ensure quality workmanship.

The role requires minimum 5 years’ fabrication/welding experience, a relevant trade qualification, and the ability to read drawings. MIG, TIG, ARC or FCAW experience and strong safety awareness are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years' fabrication/welding experience.
• Relevant trade qualification.
• Experience with MIG / TIG / ARC / FCAW.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Structural steel, heavy fabrication or manufacturing experience.
• High standard of workmanship.
• Strong health and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Fabricating steel components and structures.
• MIG, TIG and/or ARC and/or Flux Core welding.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
• Cutting, measuring, fitting and assembling components.
• Grinding and finishing.
• Completing quality checks.
• Maintaining safe working practices.
