Job summary

HEB Construction, part of VINCI Construction, seeks a Senior Estimator for the Picton Infrastructure Redevelopment Project in Marlborough Sounds. The role focuses on developing accurate estimates for civil, marine and large-scale projects, with potential FIFO within New Zealand.

You will work with engineering, commercial and delivery teams to drive cost certainty and support delivery outcomes from planning through execution.

Qualifications

Experience estimating complex civil infrastructure projects.
Exposure to marine, waterfront or port projects is highly regarded.
Strong first-principles estimating capability.
Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications.
Excellent commercial acumen and risk assessment skills.

Responsibilities

Prepare detailed first principles estimates for major civil and marine works.
Develop methodologies and staging plans to support pricing strategies.
Manage quantity take-offs, subcontractor pricing and supplier engagement.
Identify project risks, opportunities and cost drivers.
Support project planning, procurement and commercial decision-making.
Collaborate with engineers and construction teams to optimise delivery solutions.
Monitor market trends, pricing movements and productivity assumptions.
Assist with forecasting, cost reporting and project controls.
