Job summary

The Isaac Construction Co Limited seeks a Senior Estimator – Civil Construction to lead major civil estimates from first review through tender submission. You’ll coordinate estimating, operations, suppliers and subcontractors to deliver buildable, commercially sound solutions.

Bring 10+ years’ estimating experience in civil construction, NZS 3910 knowledge, and ideally Three Waters exposure. Candy estimating software experience is preferred; be practical, collaborative and calm under pressure

Qualifications

• 10+ years of estimating experience in civil construction or infrastructure.
• Three Waters experience would be a big advantage.
• Knowledge of New Zealand construction contracts, including NZS 3910.

Senior Estimator – Civil Construction

Lead the numbers. Shape the work.

We’re looking for an experienced Senior Estimator to join our team and take the lead on complex civil infrastructure tenders.

This is more than pricing a job. You’ll bring together estimating, operations, suppliers and subcontractors to develop smart, buildable and commercially sound solutions — helping Isaac win the right work at the right margins.

What you’ll be doing

• Lead major civil estimates from first review through to tender submission

• Develop pricing strategies, methodologies, programmes and resourcing plans

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for someone with 10+ years’ estimating experience in civil construction or infrastructure, with a strong understanding of construction methodologies, productivity, procurement and risk.

Three Waters experience would be a big advantage, along with knowledge of New Zealand construction contracts, including NZS 3910.

You’ll be commercially astute, analytical and confident challenging assumptions — but just as importantly, you’ll be practical, collaborative and calm under pressure when the tender deadline is looming.

Experience with Candy estimating software is preferred.
