Otago Regional Council (ORC) seeks an Environmental Data Officer or Senior Environmental Data Officer to join the Environmental Delivery Data & Systems team in Dunedin, Queenstown or Alexandra on a permanent, full-time basis. The role focuses on consent compliance data and high-level data expertise across collection, archiving and processing.

Ideal candidates have a degree in Environmental Sciences, Hydrology or database management with 5 years’ experience; the Senior role requires 10 years and

Qualificações

• Degree in Environmental Sciences, Hydrology or database management.
• 5 years’ experience in related field (Environmental data).
• Understanding of data collection, processing, recording archiving and data procedures.
• Ability to build effective relationships across the organisation.

Responsabilidades

• Receiving, collating, archiving, and process compliance data related to air discharges, water quality, water metering, bore logs and gravel extraction.
• Liaising with third-party data providers.
• Regular checks on daily data processing progress, especially telemetry data.
• Maintaining up-to-date Environmental and Compliance databases with ORC staff.
• Supporting Consents and policy staff with renewals information.
