Job summary

Otago Regional Council seeks a Manager Environmental Delivery Data and Systems to lead a high-performing team and advance environmental data and regulatory systems across the Otago region. You will drive data quality, system improvements, and the strategic delivery of regulatory activities in partnership with internal teams and external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's qualification in Environmental Management, Science, Information Science or related field with SQL reporting services.
• Significant experience managing data and databases.
• Significant leadership experience developing and supporting teams.
• Experience in local government.
• Experience leading process improvement, quality assurance or systems enhancement initiatives.
• Experience collecting and analysing environmental data.
• Strong communication, reporting, and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Regulatory Data and Systems team and foster collaboration.
• Ensure quality and integrity of environmental and regulatory data.
• Provide expert advice to support planning and regulatory activities.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and team members.
• Drive strategic planning, budgeting, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure monitoring reflects consent conditions and priorities.
