Auror in New Zealand seeks a Senior Engineering Lead (Risk Detection) to steer one of our core product areas. You’ll provide technical and people leadership for Risk Detection capabilities, including Auror Subject Recognition (ASR), helping retailers detect and respond to crime in real time.

You'll evolve ASR across enrollment, in-store detections, and actionable alerts, and set the architectural direction for scalable, privacy‑aware systems that support future growth and regional expansion.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering across Auror's Risk Detection domain, setting a clear technical direction across our detection platforms, including ASR, while ensuring teams remain aligned around shared priorities and customer outcomes.
• Run structured sprint rituals, including stand ups, retrospectives and planning, keeping the team focused on delivering meaningful outcomes.
