Job summary

Edison Consulting Group seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer (Primary) to contribute to HV transmission, substation primary designs, and renewables projects across New Zealand. You will work with a team of experienced professionals, participate in site visits, and help deliver practical, field-informed engineering solutions.

Qualifications

• Significant electrical design experience in HV transmission and/or Substation designs for primary systems, preferably with NZ exposure.
• Renewable energy and BESS integration design experience is advantageous.
• A Washington Accord-accredited Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or higher qualification.
• Proven experience leading design projects or primary design deliverables to high quality, on time and within budget.
• Strong written and verbal communication with clients, contractors, and project teams.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to substation, transmission, and renewables design projects across NZ.
• Participate in site visits and engage with live projects through full lifecycle.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction managers and technical specialists on design delivery.
• Build strong professional relationships with peers, clients and stakeholders.
