Job summary

Edison Consulting Group is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (Primary) to join our Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch team. You will lead electrical design for HV transmission and substation primary systems across New Zealand’s energy projects, with exposure to renewables and site work.

You will work with experienced project managers and specialists, participate in site visits, and contribute to the full lifecycle from concept to handover.

Qualifications

• Significant electrical design experience in HV transmission and/or substation primary designs.
• Renewable energy and BESS integration design experience is advantageous.
• Proven experience leading design projects or primary design deliverables to high quality, on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

• Work on substation, transmission, and renewables design projects.
• Participate in site visits and engage with live projects.
• Contribute to the full project lifecycle from conception to handover.
• Collaborate with project managers, construction managers, and technical specialists.
