Job summary

Beca Limited in Hamilton seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the Waikato/Tauranga Building Services team. You will guide design, mentor engineers, and ensure delivery from concept to commissioning across diverse clients.

You bring a minimum of 7 years in low voltage building services, a consulting background, Chartered status or progression toward chartership, and proficiency with PowerCAD, AGI32, Bluebeam and Revit. Flexible work options are available.

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in low voltage electrical Building Services design or commissioning.
• Consulting background and ability to develop client relationships.
• Chartered status (CPEng) or actively working toward chartership.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor a team of electrical engineers, fostering growth and collaboration.
• Provide electrical design philosophy and technical guidance across projects.
• Deliver electrical building services design from concept to completion, including construction monitoring and commissioning.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
• Perform calculations for transformers, generators, UPS systems, lighting, and cable sizing.
