Job summary
Beca is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead complex electrical design across water, mining, industrial and energy sectors in New Zealand, Australia and Asia. You will guide projects from concept through to handover, coordinating with process, mechanical, civil and control teams.
You will mentor engineers, support procurement and construction, and drive health, safety and quality excellence within a collaborative environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10 years of electrical engineering experience.
- Experience in LV and MV electrical design and power distribution for large projects.
- Knowledge of Australian and NZ Standards (AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008) and electrical safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead delivery of electrical projects and manage design scope, budgets, and schedules.
- Oversee detailed design of electrical systems for complex industrial and water projects.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineers, designers and graduates.
- Support project delivery from planning to commissioning, including procurement and construction activities.
- Build strong client relationships and contribute to business growth through proposals and tender submissions.
- Champion health, safety, and quality excellence through risk assessments and design reviews.
