We operate in 145+ countries while proudly maintaining headquarters in New Zealand. **The Role**Reporting to the Technology Leadership team, this role is responsible for defining and advancing Seequent’s technology strategy to accelerate product innovation, scalability, and delivery effectiveness. You will lead the centre of excellence for software architecture, AI services, high-performance computing, and platform data strategy, enabling product teams with clear standards, shared capabilities, and strategic technical direction. **In this role, you will have the opportunity to:** * Lead the development and governance of Seequent’s Technology Strategy roadmap, aligning technology investments with business, product, and engineering priorities.* Define and drive software architecture, platform data strategy, and high-performance computing capabilities that support secure, scalable, and high-performing products.* Establish reference architectures, technical standards, governance models, and reusable patterns that improve consistency and accelerate delivery across product teams.* Lead the adoption of machine learning and generative AI capabilities, including shared platforms, reusable services, governance frameworks, and AI roadmaps.* Partner with Product, Engineering, Security, Data, and Technology Operations leaders to ensure strategic technology decisions and shared capabilities are aligned.* Develop reference implementations, templates, and shared components that improve quality, security, performance, and maintainability.* Drive adoption of strategic direction through technical enablement, documentation, training, and architecture engagement models.* Measure and communicate the impact of technology investments using metrics such as standards adoption, platform leverage, architectural health, and delivery acceleration.* Build and lead a high-performing global Technology Strategy organization through effective hiring, coaching, organizational design, and talent development. **To be successful in this role, you should have:** * A tertiary qualification in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline.* 10+ years of leadership experience in software engineering, architecture, platform strategy, shared services, or engineering enablement functions within a global product organization.* Proven success defining technology strategy, technical standards, reference architectures, and governance models that achieve broad adoption across engineering teams.* Strong expertise in modern software architecture, cloud platforms, high-performance computing, platform data strategy, and shared technology services.* Practical experience delivering machine learning and generative AI capabilities in production environments, including responsible AI governance and shared-service approaches.* Deep understanding of how standards, shared platforms, and governance enable scalable product delivery and long-term technical sustainability.* Executive-level stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and align senior leaders across Product, Engineering, Security, Data, and Operations.* Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear direction for both technical and non-technical audiences.* Strong people leadership experience, including building, developing, and leading high-performing global teams. **Additional Information*** Tier 3 after-hours support may be required occasionally.* Flexibility in working hours may be required to support collaboration across global time zones.* Responsible for leading a team of professionals, managers, senior managers, and directors.* Works closely with cross-functional teams to influence technology strategy and product delivery outcomes. **Work Mode:** Office-based**#LI-CG2** **Our Commitment to Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion** At Seequent, we champion the uniqueness of each individual.
