Job summary

You will work with a multidisciplinary team, liaise with applicants and stakeholders, and deliver high-quality development outcomes across live projects in New Zealand.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering (Civil).
• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a Development Engineer reviewing resource consent applications and engineering plans for a local authority.
• Exceptional analytical and report writing skills with a keen eye for detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence to liaise effectively with applicants and stakeholders.
• A collaborative team spirit and a strong customer-centric mindset.

Responsibilities

• Provide Expert Review: act as a specialist on behalf of local authorities, leading the review of resource consent applications and engineering approvals.
• Uphold Standards and good practice: ensure plans comply with regulatory documents and standards.
• Oversee Quality on Site: conduct construction monitoring to verify developments meet approved plans.
• Build Strong Relationships: liaise between applicants, Council staff and specialists.
• Collaborate for Success: work with a multidisciplinary team to achieve integrated outcomes.
