Deloitte New Zealand in Auckland seeks a Senior Consultant/Manager with Project Management experience to lead delivery across a mix of standalone projects and workstreams within larger programmes.

You will operate as a senior delivery leader with accountability for outcomes, shaping approach, managing budgets, and partnering with senior client stakeholders to drive successful delivery and business growth.

Qualifications

• Proven experience leading complex projects or programmes.
• Owns end-to-end delivery including scope, schedule and budget.
• Strong governance, risk and decision-making capabilities.
• Experience engaging with senior stakeholders (GM/Exec level).
• Strong commercial acumen including forecasting and profitability.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of complex projects or programmes across engagements.
• Own end-to-end delivery accountability (scope, schedule, budget, quality).
• Shape delivery approaches and execution strategies for client contexts.
• Partner with Programme Directors and senior stakeholders on direction.
• Provide pragmatic guidance on risks, priorities, and trade-offs.
• Drive delivery assurance and early issue resolution.
• Lead recovery and turnaround of challenged workstreams.
• Strengthen executive relationships and steer governance bodies.
• Manage budgets, forecasting, and margin discipline.
• Mentor and scale high-performing teams and contribute to pipelines.
