Job summary

Port of Auckland is seeking a Senior Digital Project Manager to lead large and complex digital initiatives that support our strategic objectives and operational performance.

You will drive governance, budgeting, stakeholder engagement, and change management across a 24/7 operational environment, while mentoring the Digital Delivery team and contributing to standard-setting and capability growth.

Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline.
• PRINCE2, PMP, or equivalent project management certification.
• 10+ years' experience delivering large, complex technology projects.
• Experience managing significant project budgets, financial governance, and vendor relationships.
• Proven success leading enterprise-wide technology initiatives within complex organisations.
• Strong stakeholder management, including engagement with executive leaders and governance forums.
• Strong commercial acumen and financial management capabilities.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of large, complex digital and technology projects from initiation through to successful implementation.
• Develop and manage project plans, schedules, budgets, governance, risks, and dependencies.
• Govern forums, steering committees, and executive reporting processes.
• Build business cases and investment proposals articulating value, risks and delivery considerations.
• Manage project financials, forecasting, procurement activities, and vendor relationships.
• Drive change management and stakeholder engagement for successful adoption and outcomes.
• Mentor and coach project managers to build capability within the Digital team.
