Job summary

Deloitte New Zealand in Christchurch is seeking a Senior Consultant/Manager to lead delivery of complex client programmes and projects. You’ll work across Agile, Waterfall and hybrid environments, shaping governance, planning and reporting while building trusted client relationships.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager or workstream lead delivering complex projects.
• Strong planning, governance, and reporting capabilities.
• Experience across Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid delivery environments.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and communicate clearly at different levels.
• Experience managing scope, timelines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and support client programmes and projects, including stand-alone and workstreams.
• Establish delivery structures with planning, governance and reporting.
• Support programme delivery alongside client and leadership.
• Provide delivery assurance through health checks, risk identification and recommendations.
• Support recovery and stabilisation efforts to bring projects back on track.
• Manage scope, schedule, risks, issues and dependencies.
• Build strong client relationships as a trusted delivery partner.
• Collaborate with Deloitte and client teams across environments.
• Contribute to proposals and business development.
• Mentor junior team members.
