Job summary

Silverstripe in Wellington seeks a Senior Delivery Lead to drive successful digital projects for government and private sector clients. You will lead delivery squads, manage budgets, risks and schedules, and act as the people leader across agile teams, ensuring a high-quality customer experience.

Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer, you’ll balance client needs with team capacity, foster collaboration, and shape proposals and statements of work for new opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in project management within web/digital
• Proven Agile track record with Scrum/Kanban
• Experience leading diverse delivery teams and projects
• Experience managing budgets and client-facing engagements
• Strong focus on client business needs and outcomes

Reporting to the Chief Delivery Officer, you’ll be highly skilled at balancing the needs of our clients and our talented delivery squads, while keeping our company values top-of-mind, to ensure a fantastic customer experience. An important part of this role is people management, and as such you will be able to work collaboratively with your direct reports to set meaningful goals and objectives.

What will I be doing?

• Providing project management support so that clients have visibility of their budgets, risks and schedules
• You’ll be the people leader of an established delivery squad of Agile web developers, optimising their processes to help them do their best work and be client focused
• Interfacing and collaborating with our clients on a daily basis
• Supporting the Strategy and Delivery teams in the creation of proposals and statements of work for new business opportunities

• Onboarding and managing exciting new projects with our clients, designers and developers

• Facilitating the Scrum process or other Agile methodologies as required
• Facilitating planning, daily stand-ups, reviews and retrospectives
• Working alongside other Delivery Leads and the wider leadership team to continually identify and implement organisation-wide process improvements.

• Exceptional communicators, both oral and written, with clients, developers, designers, sales people, and business owners alike.

What skills and experience will set you apart?

• Vendor or agency experience is essential
• At least 3 years of project management experience, with at least 2 years being in the web/digital industry
• A proven Agile track record, preferably using Scrum and Kanban, with at least 3 years’ experience successfully owning and delivering multiple projects simultaneously
• Success in leading diverse teams and projects, both new and existing
• Experience managing budget and technical teams
• Ability to successfully manage the delivery/build of multiple projects at the same time
• Proven and demonstrable commercial and client-facing experience
• Strong focus at all times on clients’ business needs, user goals, and overall quality.
