Job summary

Databricks seeks a Solutions Architect in Auckland to drive customer engagement throughout the sales lifecycle, partnering with Account Executives to articulate how the Data Intelligence Platform solves complex analytics challenges and helps customers turn insights into action.

You will coach junior engineers, influence stakeholders at all levels through multi‑domain engagements, run workshops and PoCs, and advance along tracks in technical specialization, industry thought leadership, or people

Qualifications

• Experience in technical pre-sales and customer-facing engagements.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency in at least one core language (Python/Java/Scala) and Spark basics.

Responsibilities

• Develop customer engagement strategies with Account Executives in your territory.
• Coach junior Solutions Architects and teams on use case prioritization.
• Lead workshops, develop collateral, and drive proofs‑of‑concept with customers.
• Engage with cloud ecosystems and third‑party applications to align with Databricks vision.
