Job summary

Databricks in Auckland seeks a seasoned Solutions Architect to shape customer engagement strategies and partner with Account Executives in your territory.

You will coach junior architects, influence C-level stakeholders across cloud and third-party apps, and champion data analytics architecture and the Databricks platform.

This role offers opportunities to advance in tracks like technical specialization, industry leadership, strategic vision, or people management.

Qualifications

• Experience in complex customer engagements and sales lifecycle in technical pre-sales.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and executives to drive customer success.
• Experience coding in Python, Java, or Scala and willingness to learn Spark.
• Hands-on experience with PoCs and public cloud platforms.
• Ability to craft technical solutions for customer needs in a competitive market.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to Databricks' technical community engagement by developing customer-facing collateral and leading workshops, seminars, and meet-ups.

What We Look For

• Know how to engage in complex customer interactions and sales lifecycle in a technical pre-sales capacity.
• Ability to influence decision-makers and C-level executives by developing relationships and orchestrating teams to achieve long-term customer success.
• Prior experience with coding in a core programming language (i.e., Python, Java, Scala) and willingness to learn a base level of Spark.
• Hands-on expertise with complex proofs-of-concept and public cloud platform(s).
