Job summary

Jora New Zealand in Wellington seeks a Senior Data Engineer to help build and operate the Enterprise Data Platform, including Snowflake, Informatica and Airflow components. You will design and run scalable data pipelines, apply DataOps practices, and mentor peers as part of a 20–30 person Data & Analytics team.

The role is 12 months with potential extension, located in Wellington, NZ. Strong SQL/Python skills plus experience with dbt Core and cloud analytics are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience administering Snowflake, SAS Viya and SAS Grid.
• Experience in using Dbt Core for transformation, test cases.
• Experience in using Airflow for orchestration.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for automation, scripting and data manipulation.
• Knowledge of modern data warehousing architecture.
• Knowledge of Dev/Ops or DataOps principles, practices and tools.

Responsibilities

• Engineer end-to-end data pipelines and transformations.
• Orchestrate workflows with Airflow and implement testing.
• Apply DevOps/DataOps practices to data platforms.
• Collaborate with analysts and stakeholders to deliver data solutions.
