Kiwibank is seeking a Senior Data Platform Engineer to help build a modern cloud-based data platform in Wellington. You’ll work with a strong team to deliver solutions from requirements through production using Agile methods, writing robust code and tests, and contributing to CI/CD practices.
You will apply Python, Terraform, AWS, DBT, Snowflake and Airflow, with a focus on backend development, DevSecOps, data lake technologies and API development.

This role is for a Senior Engineer - Data Platform with experience delivering solutions into the cloud using as code techniques. You’ll be working with a strong team of engineers to help deliver a modern cloud based data platform, supporting Kiwibank’s purpose of making Kiwi better off. You’ll help deliver a modern cloud based data platform, bringing strong engineering practice, a passion for data and a collaborative mindset. This role is focused on delivering data solutions from requirements through to production using scrum, or another agile framework. You’ll write code and tests, contribute to CI/CD practices and work with engineers as your customers. Experience with Python, Terraform, AWS, DBT, Snowflake and Airflow will support your success, along with an interest in backend development, DevSecOps, data lake technologies, API development, Docker and enabling AI adoption within data platforms.
