New Zealand Transport Agency is seeking a Principal Analyst – Performance Reporting Products to lead the business ownership, development and adoption of IDD’s performance reporting dashboards across Auckland and Wellington.

The role focuses on balancing customer needs, governance and delivery priorities while guiding a team to create trusted, practical reporting products that drive informed decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience turning customer needs into clear reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Experience leading the continuous improvement of reporting products using agile methods.
• Experience with portfolio, programme and project performance data.
• Strong communication and stakeholder relationship skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead business ownership and continuous improvement of IDD’s performance reporting dashboards.
• Gather customer needs and translate them into clear dashboard solutions.
• Own and manage the dashboard backlog, including prioritisation and communication of delivery priorities.
• Lead improvement initiatives through planning, delivery and adoption using structured and agile approaches.
• Set and maintain fit-for-purpose reporting standards, business rules and processes.
• Work across business and technical teams to ensure dashboard solutions are useful and sustainable.
• Coach and mentor analysts to lift capability, quality and consistency.
