Job summary

ASB Bank is seeking a Senior Credit Reporting Analyst to ensure high‑quality data and reporting for credit risk decisioning. You’ll work autonomously within a supportive team, balancing regular reporting with process improvements and issue resolution.

You will manage data integrity, enhance ETL controls, and lead the LLD reporting process for RBNZ submission, while collaborating with business and technical stakeholders to deliver robust data solutions.

Our Credit Risk Management Information team are responsible for developing and providing reporting, analysis and support for the management of the bank's credit risk portfolio. We provide vital information and reporting to our business units through a complex SQL datamart and ensure that a high level of data integrity is maintained.

We’re now looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Credit Reporting Analyst to join this impactful team — someone who brings strong data analytics expertise, thrives in complexity, has an inquiring mind and enjoys influencing high-quality outcomes for customers, stakeholders, and the business.

Mō te tūranga | About the role

As a Senior Credit Reporting Analyst, you’ll play a key role in ensuring high‑quality data and reporting is available to facilitate credit decision‑making, operational excellence, and strong risk and customer outcomes. You’ll work with a high level of autonomy within a larger supportive team. The role has a great combination of regular reporting rhythms and variety with opportunities to work on improving processes and resolving challenges.

Every day, you will:

• Monitor and manage daily data integrity exceptions.
• Strengthen data quality controls within existing ETL processes
• Maintain model documentation and ensure that it is fully updated
• Apply data automation principles to solution development,
• Develop fit‑for‑purpose data solutions for Credit Risk and stakeholder teams.
• Investigate and resolve data quality issues from end to end
• Ensure solutions are appropriately documented and supportable
• Work collaboratively with business and technical stakeholders
• Manage and complete the monthly Loan Level Disclosure (LLD) reporting process for submission to RBNZ
• Lead by example by role‑modelling ASB’s values, behaviours, and growth mindset.

• Strong technical capability across SQL, Snowflake, dbt, WhereScape, data automation and web application development.
• The ability to design and deliver end‑to‑end data and application solutions that improve Credit Risk reporting, data quality, controls and operational efficiency.
• Strong stakeholder and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence outcomes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across internal and external audiences.
• Proven experience as a proactive self‑starter who enjoys accountability and problem‑solving.
• Strong analytical capability and confidence in using constructive challenge.
