Job summary

Westpac New Zealand Limited is seeking a Senior Manager Consumer Compliance for a six-month fixed-term parental leave cover in Auckland. You will lead a high-performing CNFR team, provide strategic compliance advice across responsible lending, financial advice, consumer products, and oversee incidents, remediation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in risk, compliance or financial services.
• Knowledge of consumer compliance and regulatory frameworks.
• Leadership experience with ability to coach and influence.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a high-performing team of compliance professionals.
• Provide strategic compliance advice and constructive challenge to the business.
• Oversee compliance across responsible lending, financial advice and consumer products.
• Support management of incidents, remediation and reporting.
• Embed compliance frameworks and risk controls in Consumer Banking.
• Monitor regulatory change and liaise with regulators and external partners.
• Build relationships across the business and with external stakeholders.
• Represent Westpac in industry and regulatory engagements.
