Job summary

Ubique Systems in Balclutha is seeking a senior construction project manager with 7+ years of experience to deliver end-to-end civil and building projects. You will oversee multi-disciplinary consultants and contractors, coordinate design, consent processes, tenders, and commercial controls in live industrial environments.

Experience with New Zealand building compliance pathways is essential; knowledge of regulated manufacturing sectors is a plus.

Qualifications

• 7+ years relevant experience in civil engineering, building construction, or construction project management
• End-to-end delivery of new buildings and brownfield civil works (concept/design through construction, commissioning, handover)
• Management of architects, engineering consultants, quantity surveyors, main contractors, and specialist subcontractors
• Design coordination and design management
• Consenting support (New Zealand context)
• Tendering and tender evaluation
• Construction contract administration
• Cost control and commercial management (scopes, variations, claims)
• Scheduling/programme management
• Defects management (snagging/punch lists)
• Delivery in live industrial/manufacturing environments with strong safety, quality, and operational controls
• Understanding of interfaces across civil, structural, architectural, geotechnical, drainage, fire, accessibility, and building services
• Ability to review drawings, specifications, schedules, cost plans, technical submittals, and construction methodologies
• Constructability review, site logistics planning, contractor management, and construction risk management
• Working knowledge of New Zealand building and construction compliance pathways
