Job summary

Clutha District Council in Balclutha, New Zealand, is seeking an experienced Manager Project Management to lead, support, and develop a team of Project Managers responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of capital infrastructure projects for the community.

You will drive project delivery end-to-end, oversee budgets and risks, ensure alignment with council frameworks and governance, and build strong partnerships with internal teams, contractors and external partners to continually improve

Qualifications

Washington Accord Degree + chartered professional engineer or equivalent.
12+ years in project, programme and portfolio management delivering projects.
5+ years in tender evaluation, contract administration and engineer of contract.
Established team leadership with the ability to manage and lead effectively.
Proven financial management skills including managing project budgets and resources.
Strong communication and stakeholder collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

Lead, oversee, mentor and develop a team of Project Managers.
Ensure projects are delivered in accordance with Council frameworks, lifecycle methodologies, and governance requirements.
Manage project resources, budgets, risks and timelines.
Monitor project progress, identify risks and implement solutions to keep projects on track.
Provide leadership and support to meet organisational priorities.
Build strong relationships with internal teams, stakeholders, contractors and external partners.
Drive continuous improvement across project management processes and practices.
