Job summary

NZ National Construction Limited, an Auckland-based builder, seeks a Senior Construction Manager to provide executive leadership across construction projects and oversee delivery, commercial performance, quality, resources and site operations.

The role involves coordinating the Project Manager, Quantity Surveyor and Site Managers, ensuring projects are planned, controlled, and delivered safely, on time and within budget. Reporting to Directors on performance and risk is required.

Qualifications

• Senior leadership experience in construction management
• Strong programme and project delivery skills
• Excellent coordination of multi-project resources

Responsibilities

• Lead overall construction portfolio and programme delivery across projects
• Establish delivery strategies, master programmes and milestones
• Coordinate resources to avoid conflicts between labour, subcontractors and materials
• Review programmes by PMs and Site Managers for realism and achievability
• Monitor progress, identify delays and implement recovery plans
• Ensure smooth handover between pre-construction, construction and handover stages
• Report risks and performance to Directors and recommend actions
