About the Opportunity
Fixed term through to September 2028. The Communications Advisor will report to the Communications Lead and will be accountable for supporting Pūnaha's communication and engagement activity to prepare audiences for the changes and impacts the Programme will bring. The principal accountabilities of the role are to communicate the WHY, WHAT, HOW and WHEN of the programme to the people who will be impacted, in a language that the audiences will understand. The audiences need to know what any change will mean for them, what they need to do to get ready, how their roles will change and where to go for help. This role supports the vision and central voice of the Programme and as such will need to work closely with the wider Programme team to determine the right messaging for each workstream and co-ordinate their delivery accordingly. This role is essential to effectively delivering change messaging in addition to general programme communications.
About You
You are a confident and capable communications advisor who enjoys bringing clarity to complexity and supporting meaningful business change. You'll bring experience for planning and executing end to end communications and are comfortable working in large, complex organisations. You use digital tools and platforms across a range of channels, including internal comms, external comms, digital, social, newsletters, intranet, websites, events and presentations. You also have working knowledge of Microsoft 365/SharePoint, Analytics, Co Pilot, Marketing Cloud and Clipchamp (preferred but not essential). You are an excellent writer who can translate complex information into clear, compelling messages, narratives, FAQs and talking points for diverse audiences. You build trusted relationships with leaders, subject‑matter experts, and cross‑functional teams, and are confident advising and influencing at all levels. You also bring a strong analytical mindset, using insights and reporting to measure effectiveness, improve engagement and continuously refine communication strategies.
