Watercare is seeking a General Manager, Commercial to act as the principal commercial authority for its multi-billion-dollar capital programme. Reporting to the Chief Programme Delivery Officer, you will set and govern the portfolio-wide commercial strategy and lead a high-performing team of Commercial Managers.

You will own procurement strategy, delivery models, and risk transfer, and provide expert advice to the Executive Leadership Team and Board, ensuring value for money and affordability.

Qualifikationen

• 15+ years of senior commercial leadership on major infrastructure portfolios.
• Proven track record as an executive peer in large, complex organisations.
• Advanced procurement and strategic sourcing across multi-stage delivery environments.
• Experience with D&C and multi-party delivery models, international contractors, or commercial transformation is desirable.

Aufgaben

• Own the commercial governance framework, delegations and assurance regime for major capital investment.
• Act as senior commercial advisor to the Chief Programme Delivery Officer, Executive Leadership Team and Board.
• Set portfolio-wide positions on procurement and delivery models, including alliance, design and construct, and early contractor involvement.
• Own Watercare’s commercial risk appetite and risk transfer philosophy.
• Lead strategic market engagement with the infrastructure sector and build pipeline visibility.
• Escalation authority for major claims, disputes and high-value commercial negotiations; ensure early warning of risk and affordability pressure.
• Lead, develop and grow a high-performing team of Commercial Managers embedded across programmes.
