Job summary

Christchurch City Council seeks a Senior Infrastructure & Cloud Engineer to lead the delivery and management of the Council's infrastructure and cloud environments, ensuring reliability and security in line with IT strategy.

You will develop platforms, scripts and templates, support automation, deploy the computing strategy, and provide technical leadership while mentoring other engineers in infrastructure and cloud services.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years in ICT with specialised infrastructure or senior IT role.
• Strong knowledge of Azure public cloud and Windows Server environments.
• Experience leading infrastructure/cloud delivery and mentoring others.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery and management of Council infrastructure and cloud environments.
• Develop platforms, scripts and templates to support operations.
• Assist with tool selection and automation enhancements.
• Deploy computing strategy and provide senior technical leadership.
