Welcome to Maisey Harris & Co. Our core values are at the heart of everything we do.
Maisey Harris & Co is not your typical Chartered Accounting firm. We are all about challenging the status quo! We take a fresh approach to supporting businesses, with a strong focus on business planning and growth.
We prioritise our people, and we mean it. One of our team perks is that, around midday on Fridays, the team finishes work while still being paid for the full day, giving you a genuine head start on the weekend. We trust our team to manage their workload, meet deadlines and make sure there’s nothing outstanding that needs to be left behind before they clock off. Add in team lunches, regular fitness sessions and a collaborative, fun-loving team that celebrates wins together, and you will quickly see why MHCo is a little different.
We invest in technology and continually improve our systems and processes so our team can work efficiently, stay ahead and spend more time focusing on clients and the work that genuinely adds value.
As a Senior Client Manager, you will take ownership of a portfolio of clients and be their trusted advisor and primary point of contact. You will oversee high-quality compliance work, provide proactive and commercially sound advice, and help clients move forward with clarity and confidence.
You will also be an important coach within the accounting team, supporting other accountants to develop their technical skills, confidence and judgement, while keeping on top of your own client portfolio, workflow and deadlines.

CA qualified, or an experienced senior accounting professional with an equivalent level of technical capability and relevant tertiary qualifications
Strong technical knowledge of New Zealand taxation, financial reporting and regulatory requirements, including the confidence to handle complex compliance matters
Demonstrated experience reviewing work and coaching other accountants to build their technical capability and confidence
Strong client relationship skills and the confidence to have proactive, practical and sometimes challenging conversations
Commercially minded, with the ability to see beyond compliance and identify meaningful insights and opportunities
Experience in, or a genuine interest in developing, advisory services such as business planning, client coaching and cashflow forecasting
Highly organised and self-driven, with the ability to manage competing priorities and follow through on commitments
Strong working knowledge of Xero or MYOB accounting software; experience across both platforms would be an advantage
