Job summary

HEB Construction in New Zealand seeks a Senior Project Engineer based in Invercargill to lead delivery of heavy civil and Three Waters infrastructure projects. You will provide technical leadership, manage interfaces with Project Managers, Site Managers, clients and subcontractors, and ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.

Qualifications

Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent required.
Chartered status is advantageous.
8+ years of civil infrastructure experience.

Responsibilities

Lead and coordinate engineering activities across project delivery teams.
Develop and manage construction methodologies, work packs, and temporary works requirements.
Monitor project progress, costs, productivity, and programme performance.
Manage subcontractors and suppliers to achieve project objectives.
Identify and mitigate technical, commercial, and operational risks.
Ensure compliance with contractual, quality, environmental, and safety requirements.
Support project planning, procurement, and resource allocation activities.
Mentor and develop Project Engineers, Site Engineers, and graduate team members.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, and key stakeholders.
