The code you write keeps essential services running. You'll be working in C++ on SCADA and control system interfaces used by electricity, water, oil & gas, and manufacturing operators around the world - a mature codebase in active development, in a small team where what you build ships.

Today, we are a key integration partner with Velotic - the global industrial software leader, previously GE - extending and optimising SCADA systems for its core products.
What you’ll do
- Build SCADA and control system UI applications for export
- Work with system engineers and frontend developers to extend shared platforms
- Write code to our standards, with testing and refactoring built in
- Work to Agile and CI practice, building for security and scalability
- Build features such as web services and queries over existing data
- Work on core data structures, algorithms, and application performance
- Peer code reviews, work with other software developers in a small team
To apply, you must:
- Be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident
- 8+ years of C++ development on legacy codebases in active product releases
- Strong C++ (C++20, Boost Asio)
- Excellent written and spoken English
You’ll also bring
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Up-to-date on technology trends, keen to experiment and bring new ideas
- Multithreading and concurrency, with strong debugging and profiling skills
- Experience building reusable, testable, responsive Angular/React components
- Publishing and consuming REST APIs
- Experience porting legacy C++ and toolkits from 32-bit to 64-bit (ideal!)
- Understands a problem before solving it, provides estimates, and owns delivery
- Adaptable to changing requirements, with an eye for customer value
- Hands‑on experience with VC++, MFC, and COM (useful)
- Visual Studio, Git, SVN, NuGet, npm, yarn, Jira, Jenkins, and C#
