Job summary

NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to support the development and continuous improvement of the Regulatory Practice Framework. You will transform regulatory expectations into practical guidance, tools and resources to help teams deliver high-quality regulatory outcomes.

You will work with regulatory practitioners and leaders to embed good practice, identify opportunities for improvement and lift regulatory capability across the organisation.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to identify, document and prioritise business requirements.
• Ensure outputs are delivered timely and clearly.
• Experience collaborating across technical, operational and business teams.
• Excellent relationship and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead analysis and improvement of regulatory processes, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Translate regulatory requirements into practical process solutions.
• Develop evidence-based recommendations using qualitative and quantitative analysis.
• Support development of a fit-for-purpose process framework linked to standards.
• Drive implementation of approved process improvements with stakeholder engagement.
