Whakatupu rawa, whakatupu tangata, whakatupuranga
Nau mai, haere mai ki Tainui Group Holdings. Are you an experienced Senior Business Analyst who can bring clarity to complexity, constructively challenge assumptions and help turn strategy into focused, prioritised delivery?
We're looking for a Senior Business Analyst to support the mobilisation of our Enterprise Transformation Programme. This influential 12-month fixed-term role will help TGH build a clear and reliable view of its programmes and initiatives, validate what is currently under way, and strengthen how projects are prioritised, governed and aligned with our strategy Te Ara Whakamua.
Tainui Group Holdings is the commercial arm of Waikato-Tainui. We manage and grow the iwi's commercial assets with a clear purpose: to support a prosperous, healthy, vibrant, innovative and culturally strong iwi. Guided by Whakatupuranga 2050 and TGH's Te Ara Whakamua 5 Year Strategy, we are focused on building financial resilience, improving our core business and strengthening trust and reputation for the long-term benefit of our iwi.
Reporting to the Head of Enterprise Improvement, you'll work across TGH to build a trusted view of our enterprise programme portfolio. You'll analyse information, identify gaps and dependencies, and provide practical advice to support prioritisation and decision-making. A key focus will be ensuring our programmes and initiatives have a visible connection to our strategy, Te Ara Whakamua, and that they are set up to deliver measurable outcomes.
Experience working in or alongside an iwi or Maaori organisation, an understanding of tikanga Maaori, and project or programme management qualifications would be advantageous. Experience with Workiva or a comparable reporting and workflow platform would also be useful, although it is not essential.
A confident relationship-builder you'll combine analytical depth with practical delivery. You'll be comfortable asking thoughtful questions, testing the strength of available evidence and helping people work through complex issues while respecting organisational accountabilities and decision rights.
At TGH, we embody the values of Manaakitanga (Care), Mahitahi (Teamwork), Kaitiakitanga (Guardianship) and Pono me te Tika (Integrity). We foster a culture of empowerment, accountability and leadership development, guided by Waikato tikanga (culture).
Joining TGH means being a part of a dedicated iwi organisation with strong core values and who believes in the development and growth of its kaimahi. This 12-month fixed-term role provides an opportunity to work at an enterprise level, influence how strategic programmes are prioritised and delivered, and help establish practical disciplines that will support TGH beyond the term of the role. You'll work alongside senior leaders and teams across the organisation in a culturally rich and commercially focused environment.
