We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Analyst to join our Business Analysis and Process Design team on a fixed-term basis until the end of June 2027. Reporting to the Manager, Business Analysis and Process Design, you will lead complex discovery and analysis, bringing clarity and structure to ambiguous problems and translating evidence into practical recommendations, requirements and outcomes.
Working across business improvement and change initiatives, you will support work from early discovery through to implementation. You will engage diverse stakeholders, assess current and future needs, and help ensure proposed changes are practical, sustainable and aligned with agreed business and user outcomes. The role will have a particular focus on understanding organisational capability and learning needs and translating these into fit-for-purpose solutions.
Key responsibilities include: Lead complex discovery and analysis, clearly defining problems, opportunities, intended outcomes and decision points. Gather and evaluate evidence from stakeholders, customers, processes, systems, policies, data and operational experience. Develop clear options, recommendations and decision-ready advice that enable informed organisational decisions. Translate agreed direction into prioritised, testable requirements and practical future-state processes and solutions. Identify organisational capability and learning needs and ensure these are reflected in delivery and implementation planning. Support initiatives through design, testing, implementation and transition, while coaching others and strengthening business analysis practice.
To be successful in this role you will bring: Extensive senior business analysis experience leading complex discovery and analysis across organisational change, service, process, policy, data or digital contexts. Proven ability to bring structure to incomplete, ambiguous or conflicting information and turn complex evidence into clear, defensible insights. Strong problem-framing, facilitation, process analysis, requirements engineering and options-assessment skills. Experience working with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary groups to test assumptions, agree outcomes and resolve delivery issues. Experience supporting initiatives from discovery and requirements definition through to testing, implementation and outcome validation. Experience identifying organisational capability or learning needs and translating these into practical learning, change or workforce-enablement solutions.
