NZ Transport Agency Waka Kotahi is seeking a Senior Asset Management Engineer to proactively manage the Auckland Harbour Bridge assets, combining asset management with engineering expertise to ensure safe, reliable, long-term performance.

You will develop forward works programmes covering maintenance, renewals and refurbishments, align with funding requirements, and lead strategies, reports and investment briefs to support evidence-based decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor-level degree in civil/structural engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered status or progress towards CPEng preferred.
• Minimum eight years’ experience in structures asset management or construction of structural assets.

Responsabilités

• Proactively manage the Auckland Harbour Bridge assets and drive best-practice asset management.
• Develop forward and annual works programmes for maintenance, renewals and refurbishments.
• Lead asset management strategies, technical reports and funding documentation to support investment decisions.
• Collaborate with internal teams, consultants and suppliers, and coordinate renewal investigations and design activities.
• Monitor construction works and apply global best practice to strengthen bridge asset management across Auckland.
