Job summary

Ticketure is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to design, develop, and optimize backend systems for the Ticketure product. You’ll collaborate with Engineering, Product, and Design to translate requirements into robust, scalable solutions, while evolving engineering best practices.

This role reports to the Team Lead, Engineering (Ticketure). You’ll own large problems end-to-end, lead technical tasks, ensure quality standards, and mentor peers while working in a primarily remote setup with

• Four or more years of back-end development experience designing scalable systems.
• Hands-on production systems experience in Go.
• Production experience with MySQL and ElasticSearch.
• Experience deploying systems in a cloud environment, AWS preferred.
• Basic understanding of JavaScript and Vue.js.

Responsibilities

• Own and solve large problems from requirements to production-grade delivery.
• Lead technical tasks as a senior member of the team.
• Ensure work meets the team’s technical norms and quality standards.

Job Summary

The Senior Software Engineer is a key technical contributor responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing back-end systems within our Ticketure product. This role works closely with Engineering, Product, and Design to understand requirements and deliver high-quality solutions, while helping evolve best practices across the engineering team. This position reports directly to the Team Lead, Engineering (Ticketure).

What You'll Do

• Own and solve large problems and projects from start to finish, from understanding requirements through delivering production-quality solutions

• Take overall responsibility for technical tasks that include the work of others as a senior member of the team

• Ensure all work meets the team's technical norms and quality standards

• Work closely with client facing team members to meet client expectations and efficiently triage and resolve issues

• Support the business in meeting contractual SLAs, including being contactable and available at short notice for issues or outages that prevent clients from selling tickets

• Work effectively within the constraints of the existing codebase, making tradeoffs that balance business continuity with roadmap delivery

• Mentor and support other engineers, providing guidance on best practices, code quality, and technical problem-solving

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Four or more years of back-end development experience with a focus on designing and building scalable, high-performance, high-quality systems

• Proven, hands-on experience building production systems in Go, our back-end programming language of choice

• Production experience with MySQL and ElasticSearch

• Experience deploying and maintaining systems in a cloud environment, AWS preferred

• Basic understanding of front-end technologies such as JavaScript and Vue.js
