Placements24 is seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Engineer to join a fully remote team. You will design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Java and the Spring framework, building robust APIs and data access layers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 5+ years of backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and Spring (Boot/ MVC/ Data).
• Experience designing RESTful APIs.
• Relational databases and SQL experience.
• Microservices architecture knowledge.
• Cloud familiarity (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Testing with JUnit/Mockito.
• Version control with Git.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance backend services using Java and Spring Boot.
• Build and manage RESTful APIs.
• Work with relational databases (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and data access layers.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code.
• Optimize performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Collaborate with frontend, PMs, and QA engineers.
• Participate in code reviews and mentor junior engineers.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for testing and deployment.
• Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to architecture decisions.
