Job summary

AI4U is seeking an experienced backend Java developer in New Zealand to design, develop, and maintain high-performance applications. You will translate product requirements into technical solutions and guide other developers toward quality delivery.

The role focuses on Java Spring Boot, SQL/NoSQL databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB) and close collaboration with product managers, analysts, and stakeholders to turn requirements into scalable systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of professional backend development experience with mentoring.
• Expert Java skills with Spring, Spring Boot, Hibernate, OOP and design patterns.
• Strong SQL and NoSQL knowledge including MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB.
• Clear written and spoken English with good problem-solving and collaboration.
