Job summary

MaiBand is building the infrastructure to connect New Zealand’s health system and enable patient information to follow them between care settings. You will work on backend engineering, focusing on FHIR integrations, APIs, authentication, and clinical data retrieval, collaborating with external teams to deploy reliable integrations.

The current focus is on Medtech ALEX API integration to bring medical data to paramedics, with remote, hybrid, or on-site work options.

Qualifications

• FHIR experience preferred
• HL7 V2 experience useful
• Strong learning ability and problem-solving skills
• Backend development with APIs and databases

Responsibilities

• Build software that connects to healthcare systems across New Zealand.
• Backend engineering: FHIR integrations, APIs, authentication, clinical data retrieval, testing, deployment.
• Own integrations from understanding how systems work to production readiness.
• Integrate with Medtech ALEX API to retrieve patient information for paramedics.
